The team in charge of operation and maintenance of the Araucária Thermal Power Plant received an award for the Plant’s facility and equipment maintenance program. On December 1, COPEL’s stock were once again listed in the Corporate Sustainability Index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BM&FBovespa). Comprising 43 types of stock from 34 companies, the current index will be in effect from December 1, 2009 to November 30, 2010. View the Report

Copel has concluded and placed in operation the transmission line connecting, at 230 kV, the Bateias and Pilarzinho substations, in the Curitiba Metropolitan Area, in the State of Paraná. This project, which was completed in 15 months, is the result of a R$ 10.5 million investment. The 31.6
km of the new line will reinforce and improve the operational capacity of the National Interconnected System (Sistema Interligado Nacional or SIN). View the Report
